Teekaye – I’m not sure what angle your working on for your paper on communism, but I’d look farther than the Free Republic website, which is both biased and often ill-informed.
I’m not even remotely a communist, socialist, or sympathizer, but I think as a student your first duty is always to seek unbiased information before you form your opinions.
Wikipedia usually is good for general background – good luck.

I do agree that there are people out there who are ill-informed. I thank you for your concern, and I have been looking at other sources. Such as “Beating the Unbeatable Foe” by Fred Schwartz.
But also, it is impossible to get away from bias. Everyone who has an opinion on anything is biased, and their bias will come out in their speech and actions. The question is not whether someone is biased or unbiased, but which bias is the best bias to be biased by?
