The Lord is my Refuge,
My Haven from storm,
My Strength in all weakness,
My Peace in alarm,
My Joy in all sorrow,
My Hope in despair,
My Courage in conquest,
My Helper in prayer.
The Lord is my Fortress,
To Him I can go
When all others fail me,
And waters o’erflow,
The Lord is my Buckler
He’s strong to defend,
My Rock of salvation,
My Hope to the end.
So what though the mountains
Be moved tho the sea,
Or the heaves above
Should cease there to be;
Or friends may forsake me,
And Satan my foe,
Be strong to uproot me;
He’s with me I know!
